The original script was entitled "The Ninety Second Minute" and was written by Faisal A. Qureshi. The script was originally written with ethnic minority characters and his name was removed from the film when it was re-written without his knowledge or consent.
Short Circuit had originally selected the film for exclusive worldwide distribution. Free DVD copies were handed out at the Cannes Film Festival after the screenings but were recalled by the UK Film Council and North West Vision.
The issues concerning the production of this film was settled out of court. The UK Film Council and North West Vision agreed to withdraw the film from distribution and all copies have been destroyed.
