Overly bland Couples video

"Code Blue" fits nicely in terms of content with the "Code Black" TV series I watch weekly. It concerns an EMS unit of fire staff and paramedics who, as fire rescue guy Lee Stone describes to newbie EMT Cheyne Collins: 'we pull 'em out, you bring 'em in". Marcia Gay Harden and crew are the hospital team who receive these victims on the popular new CBS show.

I enjoyed "Code Blue" but it became apparent that something crucial was lacking. A skin-deep portrait of a team of workers is shown, but there are zero moments of dramatic conflict, note even a quarrel during the entire hour and a half running time. A feature about life and death situations should have delivered something exciting.

Main storyline concerns Collins' partner Steven St. Croix, still grieving two years after the death of his wife Natalie Wood. We get to see them making love in flashback, and I was not pleased with casting an actress in the dead girl role who had appropriated the name of the tragic Hollywood icon.

Typical of the way too light & fluffy approach taken here is Collins' humping DVD cover girl Dominica Leoni outside his ambulance, having saved her some time before after an emergency involving her being allergic to bee stings. Not very exciting.

Easily winning breast in show honors is Brooke Banner, tall, lanky and naturally busty as she humps co-worker Stone after doing some boxing workout at the very cheap set purporting to be the station house. Joey Ray has a stereotypical role as kindly Chief Riggins, who gets to hump his lovely wife Dani Woodward for our listening pleasure. Typical sex filler is provided by Billy Glide having sex with blonde Amber Rain, in the film's only indoor XXX scene.

St. Croix's eventual hook-up with the Canadian beauty Lauren Phoenix (cast as a sympathetic nurse) is staged outdoors at a lovely gazebo after a cookout organized by Chief Riggins. Feature has a terrible ending: a very brief coda at the station house where St. Croix thanks the Chief for encouraging him to break out of his funk and enjoy a new romance. Suddenly "THE END" is flashed on screen, indicating that Steele and company (typical of porn) are in a hurry to wrap, now that the sixth and final sex vignette has been completed.
