Training film on keeping your filling station clean
opt-61 November 2009
Warning: Spoilers
The Dirty Look is an entertaining, (if you like William Frawley) training film put out by GULF Oil. This is a no frills story telling short that tries to get all GULF Oil station owners to do their best at keeping a clean image. They were behind the push to change the image of dirty, not so friendly filling stations can make a lot more money if they keep their stations neat, clean, and friendly.

William Frawley tells a customer in his barber shop about the entire transformation of the station and it has changed for the better. The customer is full of the same question, Frawley keeps telling him he is getting to it...and at the end there is a slight Hollywood type twist.

The OLD owner did not make his money with a clean station. Instead a robber slipped in an oil puddle and hit his head. The station owner got a reward, & sold the station. The NEW owner made good money after cleaning the dirty place up.
