Excellent Drama - A Must See

Alessandra Martines is smashing, the supporting cast is exemplary. No overacted scenes this film is simply well done! Additionally the costumes are wonderful to observe in this elegant production.

The film chronicles Edda (Mussolini) Ciano daughter of Benito Mussolini from willful adolescence through her turbulent life. Her marriage to Galeazzo Ciano - Italian foreign minister and Fascist leader as well as life in the shadow of her father Il Duce.

This film is in two parts and one should not miss it. The sets, locations and costumes are exemplary as are the wonderful cast who bring Edda, Galeazzo and Il Duce to life.

Altought we cannot say how much of this story is real, it is a wonderful job done. Alessandra Martines is an incredible actress and she does a great job by interpreting Mussolini's daughter.

The whole cast is great. I was particularly impressed by Alessandra's interpretation. Although the story may be tragic, it shows dictatorship is terrible and we must do everything possible to restrain it.

The interpretations of Massimo Ghini and Claude Brasseur are equally stunning and deserve our respects.

I found it interesting how the historical climate was approached and also found that Hitler's character was very realistic.
