Warning: Spoilers
Parveen Babi left Mumbai and Bollywood and ran away in 1983 and many of her films remained incomplete which slowly were completed and released in the upcoming years. SITAMGAR is one of them, it also starred Dharmendra, Rishi Kapoor, Poonam Dhillon. The film tells a story of Dharmendra who in his childhood worked in Poonam Dhillon's house and after burning the dress of Poonam Dhillon on her birthday, her stepfather Shreeram Lagoo burns his back by using a hot iron(similar to Muqaddar Ka Sikandar ironically it too having Shreeram Lagoo) Dharmendra is sent to jail in childhood and then starts helping thieves run and himself later handing them to the cops to get a reward. The film also has a parallel story of Rishi Kapoor who loves Poonam Dhillon, he plays a singer who is implicated falsely in a murder case. Parveen Babi has a smaller role, she plays a swindler who uses her body to her advantage. The film has a decent story and has usual masala of 70s and 80s but is quite watchable

Direction by Raj Sippy is good Music by RD Burman is an asset, Mausam Pyaar Ka is a superb song by Kishore and Asha, Hum Kitne Nadaan too is a superb song rest are okay

Dharmendra is good in his role though he looks too aged, Poonam Dhillon is good too, Parveen Babi with a dubbed voice does okay Rishi Kapoor excels in his role Prem Chopra is as usual, Shreeram Lagoo too is as usual Master Alankar is okay rest are okay
