When the Searcher deactivates the tractor beam, the derelict ship stops moving. In reality, since space has no gravity, the derelict ship should have continued moving.
When Crichton extends a probe from his hand into the control panel, the wire leading the probe out of his hand is plainly visible.
For some reason, Buck decides to sleep in his work clothes and with the lights brightly on before encountering the derelict ship, but later after the generals are brought aboard, he's about to go to sleep with his bathrobe on with the lights at a dimmer setting.
Security is extremely lax on the Searcher. Right after the generals come aboard, they end up wrecking Wilma's workstation (while Asimov just looks on), damaging Crichton, cause damage to engineering, and then firing the ship's laser on the asteroid field. Not one of these places is shown to have crew or security people present.
