The rise
This is the shorter of the two featurettes on the 2-Disc Special Edition DVD of Universal Soldier, at just over 14 minutes of running time. It consists of a sit-down interview with each star, behind-the-scenes footage and clips of the movie. They go over how and where they grew up, how they got into body-builder/martial arts(years before their action flick stardom) and what film they started on. It's inter-cut so that every time one of them has continued their own story to a specific stopping point, the other ones goes on until they reach that same part, and so on and so forth. They're cool enough to listen to, and if you want to know about their youth and a (rather brief) retelling of their career, or at least how it started, this will satisfy that nicely. Hearing Lundgren talk about his part in Rocky IV is some of the most interesting of this, I would say. He expresses himself well, and seems to really get into his characters. This is well-edited and paced nicely. There isn't particularly anything offensive in this, apart from a strong word or two related to titles. I recommend this to fans of either or both of the actors. 7/10
