Compelling Primary Record
mabireland9 February 2007
For those unsure of how the US primary system works and are not even sure where New Hampshire is - this is the answer.

For those how are completely aware of how primaries influence the Presidential race and the preeminent position of New Hampshire in the plot - this film provides a compelling record of the events of 2004.

Not so much a documentary as a historical document. Gripping from the outset partly due to the variety of Presidential hopefuls but also to the depth of footage and style of filming.

I was left at the end wishing there was more. Perhaps a sequel in 2008 or a look at Iowa.

Best in Show meets the Candidate

Words are sometimes not enough to express true brilliance, but pictures that correspond to the words can certainly afford an affable experience, which is to say this one truly nailed the hammer down upon the nail in providing the viewer with the perfect portrait of the lazy town of New Hampshire predicting the outcome of the leader of this country. What this film does best is portray the absolute nature of politics at its best or lowest in the thrilling forty five minutes of utter hilarity, sadness, cruelty, and longing. First screened in a private art forum in New York City, this film should go on to great success. As an avid viewer of all of the Rabbe films, I can say I look forward to the next Winning New Hampshire. Maybe a trilogy is in order.
