Nutty movie
Lollylovesmovies21 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Wtf? Seriously wtf?? JB's character is a narcissistic jerk while his wife JC is the long suffering wife. She gets Alzheimer's. He is more upset about how it affects him than her. Then their young son starts screwing the same girl his dad was who ends up pregnant. Whose the daddy? Maybe The Maury show can find out for us because they don't say in the movie. Then the oldest son lays in the grass all night with a 17 year old girl. WHAT??? Maybe I missed it but where did she even come from? It looks like the parents home is large and nice on a lake. Not a house that would be directly beside another or have apartments near by. Oh and in the end, still not knowing who the baby daddy is, he asks his wife to let the pregnant mistress/sons hookup to live with them! I mean really! And she says yes! When asked what will we tell people the wife says "that she is carrying our families baby". WHAT?!? Seriously WHAAAT?!?! Nutty movie. So many plot holes you could drive a cement truck through it. Why does the oldest son, the one who sleeps with the teenage girl on the lawn-seriously they just talk and actually sleep, hate his father so much and why does the father hate him??

Worst James Brolin movie ever don't watch this
phd_travel28 November 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Please don't watch this piece of nonsense. It's got a terrible story and a screenplay that makes no sense. The dialog is stilted and disjointed.

It starts off like an Alzheimer's story about Joanna Cassidy's illness then just ends up in a strange family drama. With father and son both having slept with this young girl.

The relationships are so weird especially Corin Nemec's character with this 17 year old girl who looks much older. Why they treat Corin's character worse than his brother isn't explained either.

The ending is terrible leaving crucial plot lines unresolved and giving no explanation for things then went on before.

Absurd!

I'm speechless

I've watched hundreds of movies in my lifetime and this might possibly be the worst movie I've ever seen. There are literally no words to describe how bad it is but one of the other reviewers called it absurd and that's a pretty good description. Cringy works too especially when it comes to the older son's relationship with the 17 year old girl. Not a single character is likeable in any way.

Storyline 👎 Acting 👎

Really, not one person in this movie could act. The whole movie was off, with a 'real cliff' at the end.

Like James Brolin and knew nothing about the other actors/actresses

Just watched this on TubiTB (3-8-23)

James Brolin's character started out disgusting and got worse. Tia Mowry, Joanna Cassidy and the other actors/actresses were AWFUL!

I watched it to the end, because (2) of my grandpa's died of Alzheimers. I was hoping it would show the DECENT side of a caring family uniting together.

FAR FROM IT!

And James Brolin's character was a malignant narcissistic abuser by the end ("me, me, me)

Don't waste your time. Glad I didn't spend $$$ on it to watch.

Someone needs to give a better perspective.
