Dees enters Asylum to top development
Christy Dees, former development executive at FX and Original Prods., has joined Asylum Entertainment as its top development exec. Dees, who will serve as vp development, was vp development and co-executive producer at Original, where she developed series for MTV, VH1, A&E, FX and Spike TV, among others. Before that, she was director of alternative and nonscripted development at FX, reporting to then-president of entertainment Kevin Reilly. Asylum was founded in 2001 by Steve Michaels and Eric M. Johnson. Its upcoming credits include MTV's Island Fever and BET's American Gangster. Other credits include GSN's Anything to Win, E! Entertainment Television's Love Is in the Heir and OLN's Fearless.
