Frances and her fiance. George, en route to the license bureau, meet Bobby, also bound for the same place. He accompanies them and while George goes in to get the license for himself, wait outside with Frances. He shows her the ring he has purchased for his fiance, Thelma, and while Frances is trying it on and admiring it, Thelma arrives. She sees the compromising position and tells Bobby that he has too many fiancees for her. His explanation falls flat, for she tell him she will believe it only when she sees the other couple married. Bobby catches George and tells him that he, George, must be married at once. They all set out for Uncle's house where Uncle is again trying to introduce Frances as the bride-to-be of Eddie. They try to spirit Frances out of the window and Bobby dons a butler's livery and makes several unsuccessful attempt to get her away from her uncle and prospective husband. He is discovered by the uncle who tells the tall butler to throw him out if he show up again. Bobby disguises as a waiter and tries again and again is discovered, this time by the butler who chases him around the house and ground. Bobby finally get Frances, and with George and Thelma, tries to stage a quick wedding. They grab a ministerial looking person and take refuge in a department store just as Uncle arrives on the scene. They outwit him by changing clothes with and posing as dummies in the window of the store. When uncle goes away, Bobby gives word to proceed with the ceremony. The "minister" floors them all with the announcement that he is not a minister-but an undertaker.—Press Sheet from Library of Congress
