I saw this movie today at the Gothenburg International Film Festival and was almost bored to death. Half the audience (if not more) left the theater before the movie ended. I couldn't because I sat in the middle and was trapped. The movie is built around prolonged interviews where ppl tell their life stories spending too much time drowning us in boring details. The movie fails in the poor story-telling ability of the interviewees and Pierre Hodgsons inability to ask interesting and challenging questions to the subjects. The interviews last for too long and are often pointless. I was booooored. I didn't think it was possible to make such an uninteresting movie on the subject of race relations in the southern part of the US.
