Slow paced, nostalgia evoking

Mohanlal again at his best, his timing is impeccable. A refreshing look throughout the movie might draw his ex-fans back. Its more of romance than what you expect from the typical Mohanlal movies of recent times. Less super heroism and very slow narration, makes the movie look entirely different from the recent trashes dished out by stereotyped movie makers.

Cons: The screenplay looks clichéd..too much overdose of cheap philosophy at the worst possible moments. Some of the dialogs are drama-like and don't have even a remote connection with everyday conversation (typical of Mohanlal movies)

I would say,the movie is somewhere between 'watchable' and 'good'.

Quite a visual treat for the audience.

Warning: Spoilers
The cinematography of the movie is quite wonderful, with the location and the settings chosen as much for their visual impact as anything else. The plot is quite cliché'd.The protagonist,Chirackal Sreehari, returns to his home after a gap of three years, one of which he spend in prison for a crime which he did not commit. The movie shows how he goes about regaining his lost honour and life.

Mohanlal, as usual, dazzles in his role. The ease with which this man can portray any role continues to surprise me.Although at times he goes overboard trying to play the all knowing hero( attested to by the amount of popcorn philosophy he spouts) still, one can't help but like Chirackal Sreehari. The movie even manages to deliver a surprise ending.

In short, quite a good way to spend a Sunday evening.

A below average flick from a very gifted director

Renjith has done it again! He churned out a half baked movie which was never meant to be successful right from the one liner.

Story lacks strength, characters seems to be out of a high school drama. Dialogues and situations are best termed childish. Mohanlal and Renjith has tried to make the most out of the situation. But unfortunately it fails to revive the movie which lacked strength in both story and screenplay.

Only thing positive is the music by Vidyasagar. 'Aararum Kaanathe' by Jayachandran and 'Muttathethum' by Yesudas are easy to the ear. Aararum is similar to 'Aalila thaaliyumayi' from 'Mizhi Randilum' again by the same team.

To say this is a good movie will be injustice to Renjith's own other good works. I certainly didn't feel good when I saw the end credit 'A Film by Renjith and Crew'.

One of the best from Ranjith and Mohanlal team .Will be surprised to know that this film was flop and didnt understand why movies like Narasimham Natturajavu were big hits and such good movies flop during that era of malayalam cinema
