Drama , comedy , history , mystery in this Spanish series , being well acted and professionally directed by expert filmmakers

Spanish series produced by TVE (Spanish television) based on classic stories written by prestigious novelists , being adapted in episodes around 50 minutes , resulting in above average , notable , average or inferior chapters . 38 episodes in various seasons developed between 1968-1976 , competently written and directed by notorious directors . Dealing with classic stories mostly written by famous Spanish writers as Félix Lope de Vega , Tirso de Molina , Benito Pérez Galdós , Miguel de Unamuno , Edgar Neville , Ignacio Aldecoa , Emilia Pardo Bazán , Ramón Gómez de la Serna , Armando Palacio Valdés , Marià Vayreda , Pío Caro Baroja , Wenceslao Fernández Flórez and Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer has various renditions . Being adapted by Enrique Braso, Rafael García Serrano, Rafael J. Salvia , among others.

Some splendid episodes of this interesting series including historical happenings , suspense , comedy , fantasy , tension , plot twists and mysterious events. As well as evocative cinematography by cameramen as Francisco Sempere , Francisco Fraile , José F. Aguayo hijo , José F. Aguayo , Rafael Casenave, Alfonso Nieva , José Ortas , and there are episodes in modern times , but resulting to be better chapters those set in other Centuries due to the nice settings . As well as evocative and atmospheric musical score by usual Anton Garcia Abril and Antonio Pérez Olea. Being well directed by the best filmmakers by the time , such as : José Antonio Páramo , Alfonso Ungría , Francisco Regueiro , Josefina Molina , José María Font , Jesús Fernández Santos, Antonio Giménez Rico , Pilar Miró , Mario Camus, Francisco Rovira Beleta ,José Luis Borau , Luis María Delgado, Miguel Picazo , Pedro Olea, Miguel Lluch , José Briz , Emilio Martínez Lázaro , Jesús García de Dueñas , Jaime Chávarri .

The series was well starred by the best main and secondary Spanish cast at the time, such as : Eusebio Poncela , Charo López , Agustin Gonzalez, Fernando Cebrian, Carmen Maura, Jaime Blanch , Maximo Valverde , Marisa Paredes , María Luisa Ponte , Agustín González , Victor Petit , Juan José Otegui , Emilio Laguna , Álvaro de Luna, Xan Das Bolas , Manuel Pereiro , Luis Ciges , Jack Taylor , José Riesgo , Antonio Gamero , Emiliano Redondo , Mercedes San Pietro , Antonio Iranzo , Maria Isbert , Imma de Santi , Tito García , Angel Alvarez, and several others. And won Awards such as : Fotogramas de Plata 1976 Winner Best TV Performer Charo López and TP de Oro to Charo López . Standing out the following chapters : La Leyenda del Caballero de Olmedo (written by Lópe de Vega) , El Estudiante de Salamanca (José Espronceda) , Maese Perez El Organista (Gustavo Adolfo Becker) , Tres Maridos burlados (Tirso de Molina) , La Buena Vida , La Buenaventura , La Promesa , El Tesoro, Las Rebajas de Sebastián , Baalbec una mancha , Don Pedro Hambre , La Puñalada , el Crimen del Indio , La Justicia del Buen alcalde , El regreso , among others . Some of them have notorious cinematic adaptations, as Espronceda by Fernando Casares and La puñalada by Jorge Grau .
