Good Concept

I saw The Dance at the 2005 Garden State Film Festival and was very entertained. The storyline keeps you intrigued, the acting is tremendous and the shooting is professional. The leads are unknown actors but do a good job of carrying the film and Al Sapienza (Mikey Palmice from The Sopranos) makes a brief appearance.

A brief summary: An old hit-man who claims to have been behind every major assassination in the 20th Century - Kennedy, X, etc... - is getting old and senile so the Mob wants to take him out. They send a young punk hit-man to kill him, and the old hit-man takes them on a verbal journey through his career, discussing how he became the best, while he tries to orchestrate his own "exit." You never know if the old man is telling the truth about his assassinations or if he is senile and the ending keeps you guessing as to what actually happens.
