A man in a suit jumps off a bridge into the water. Then the film reverses, the man reappears, and lo, he is dressed in a swimming costume. He jumps in again and again in a variety of dives, reappears, and at the end when he comes up, he is clad in his original suit.
That last thing is a nice touch, True, by the time I got there in this 90-second short, I was expecting it, but the original costume change was a surprise.
It's a short subject from Ferdinand Zecca, made as he organized Pathe's directors and showed them how to do their jobs. It was still early days for the entire industry, and occasionally pieces like this can still amuse.
