A roughly 20-minute look back at "Don't Look Now", produced around 2002 from the fine folks at Blue Underground, including David Gregory.
We find that author Daphne duMaurier actually wrote to Roeg, and shared some anecdotes with him. Clearly she enjoyed his interpretation of her novel, and how can you argue with her? Could anyone have done better?
Roeg sees the film as a puzzle composed of images, and these images are a mystery until all put together. This is a good way to describe it, especially when we see early on the red blood (paint?) that smears on the screen... what is that? Why is it there? Be patient... everything will come together.
