Motorcycle Trials with the best entertainment gained from the spills.
Northernlight717 June 2008
This was a show that sought its entertainment value primarily from the misfortune and risk of physical injury to those who participated in the dangerous (though carefully monitored) motorcycle stunts performed by skillful riders in "Kickstart" and younger, though no less capable enthusiasts in the subsequent "Junior Kickstart" series.

It showcased a genuine talent that hadn't previously been extensively highlighted by television sports programmes.

Presented by Peter Purves, it featured in the early evening schedule and rapidly attracted a dedicated following that encompassed a diverse range of viewers; both male and female from all ages.

One memorable and often repeated clip from the "Junior Kickstart" series showed an unfortunate incident when a young contestant came off his bike while tackling an obstacle; two St. John's Ambulance men raced to his aid but had more problems remaining upright in the mud than the youngster; the young motorcyclist had suffered no major injuries and climbed away leaving his would be rescuers looking ridiculous!

Not just for Bikers .

Very immersive , delicate control of motorcycles over ridiculously difficult courses and obstacles . It looks impossible but they make it look easy . Appeals to a very wide range of individuals (toddlers to Hells Angels to Vicars) !! Visually interesting , engaging and unusual . A good mix of action , fear , success and fun .
