Decaf makes a moving statement about modern romance.
JayceBen6 June 2005
Decaf is an artfully woven story of 2 couples in various stages of making up and breaking up. The narrative is subtle and the writing laid back hilarious. In particular, one speech about the lineage of Pac Man Jr. - whether he is the child of Pac Man and Ms. Pac Man or Ms. Pac Man's lover - is truly brilliant. The film avoids romantic comedy cliché by leaving the viewer with a bitter sweet pathos at the unresolved nature of our characters' romances....making a moving statement about the intangibility of modern romance. Jeremy Arth has a career ahead of him writing and directing films about romance and love that pack a weighty depth not usually seen in the genre.
