I watched an episode about a monk who plays golf on ESPN 2. i guess they were going for some kind of zen-of-golf angle. as an avid golfer, i took the time to record the show thinking it would surely be interesting, this show was hardly insightful and even worse, the episode was definitely lifted from an article i saw in Golf Digest magazine. How shows like this make it to television is beyond me, but I guess someone liked it because it was nominated for (won?) a sports emmy. I would rather watch Stuart Scott reinvent the English language than see Dhani Jones try to make sense of the words coming out of his mouth. Whose idea was it to make Dhani Jones of all people the host of a television show anyways? I just don't get it.
