This is a very hard short film to rate. That's because artistically, it's wonderful but the story was confusing and weird...and not necessarily in a good way.
As for the art and style of the film, I really liked it. The colors and shadows were great--making this a really lovely film. In addition, the music really complemented the piece. In many ways, this was obviously an art film--one that the general public would probably never see but which can be appreciated solely based on its aesthetics.
Now the story is just plain strange. It consists of a harlequin-like person who wanders about an empty city for the entire film. Why it is empty and what happened to all the people, I have no idea. And it gets weirder as the film progresses--especially when it begins to rain fish...yes, fish! It just confused me, but as I have seen hundreds if not thousands of short films, I have a very high tolerance for this sort of thing. Depending on the audience, you may or may not feel the same.
Overall, while the story left me a bit cold, there's no doubt that the people who made this are immensely talented and I'd love to see more of their work.
