If He Didn't Spend So Much Money On Snappy Clothes He'd Have The Money
boblipton20 December 2020
J. Morris Foster wants to marry Mayne Hall, but her parents insist he have $500 before they'll consent. Where is a poor barber going to get that much money. One of his customers, a detective, shws him a wanted poster for a dangerous criminal, with a reward of that much money. When the crook comes in for a shave, Foster thinks there's nothing easier for collecting the money. Hw wrong he is!

There's a real sense of dramatic tension, what with the question of whether the police can come before the gang kills Foster., with some nice editing.

Arouses considerable suspense
deickemeyer26 December 2018
A first-class offering with a thrilling hand-to-hand struggle at the close. Pietro, the barber, recognizes his customer as a badly-wanted individual, follows him to his den and attacks him single-handed. The struggle scene arouses considerable suspense and is well staged. - The Moving Picture World, August 15, 1914
