"Sacrifice" - We all make a sacrifice or two.

I saw this movie at a screening and I did not know what to expect. I know the director and some of the actors in the film and it speaks the truth about a typical Guyanese-American family struggling with the different times. And adjusting to new customs; ways, and life itself. For me I am a Guyanese-American and I see these things in everyday life; but to see it on a screen and film it certainly opens your eyes. To know that this is a society which wants to fit in or needs to fit in in order to be accepted is ruthless. The film basically is about Guyanese parents with two children- The son(who is the oldest) doesn't know what to make of his life, The daughter(who is a teenager) follows the times and grows up to fast before her time, the parents struggle with every word they do not say to each other and work hard for there kids. Check out this movie if you want to basically see what goes on in New York West Indian family.
