good series

This show was a fresh show on norwegian TV when i first watched it and although i initially watched it because the other two options where crappy this one turned out to rather amusing. Bit slow in the beginning with little action happening i initially expected as you gotta save the best for the last episodes as is the case in most x-mas calendars, but the facts being given about the gods is always a bit fascinating to teach and its an easy way to learn about the northern countries heritage in terms of culture.

Definitely recommend it and i can say this much that i will most likely watch it next year should it be sendt again.

I gotta admit, I love this show. This is excellent. Maybe I should tell you why. It's about the northern guards and has many things that makes this an EXCELLENT show. I don't think I will survive if I miss one episode. It's so great that I just want to see it over and over again. And if it ever comes out on DVD, I'll definitely buy it! And to this Christina who says that this show sucks: You're so wrong!

I have something to say to you: You don't even know what you're talking about!

This is a great show! You guys out in the world who is reading this should definitely see it!

I must say that this is one of the worst series i have ever seen. Don't buy or even watch it, it is so bad.

The stories about the old northern guards and the other persons in the stories are so twisted and misguiding as any can be. Though Martin Brygman one year managed to produce a good series, it doesn't mean that ha can get success another time.

I don't think i am very wrong when I speak on behalf of a lot of Danes and say that this series sucks. That is the best word for it. But I will say that we do have some good movies in Denmark, check them out on this website.

good intentions, but sadly bad result

well i didn't see the whole series (it would be too painful), but i think that i saw enough episodes to make a review. the story is simple enough, it goes around the old northern/viking gods, and northern mythology. in my opinion it is really stupid and misguiding, and sometimes even shitty, because of one fact. they Didn't read the source material, northern mythology. that means that the story is full of really really big flaws you easily spot, if you know about northern mythology. the biggest disappointment is the final fight, ragnarok, having read about it in the mythology i was excited, but what we got was really anti climatic, i don't know how they could make it worse. if you look away from the flaws in the mythology, the story is quiet decent. the acting from most of the cast isn't that good, only two actors play their role really well, martin brygmann and peter frödin, probably because they are professionals. they don't use so many effects in this, so there isn't really something to comment on there. so all in all 3/10, only because martin and peters acting, and the fact that they set the focus on northern mythology, which is an important legacy for us Scandinavians. sadly they didn't read the mythology that well, or else it would have been a lot better.

It is truly the best Christmas series ever
gustavcronwald23 December 2023
Christmas in Valhalla" is a delightful journey into Nordic mythology, perfect for the holiday season. The film combines humor, warmth, and adventure in a way that's appealing to both children and adults. Its characters are engaging and memorable, adding a depth and warmth that is often missing in holiday movies. Visually, the film is stunning, with vivid colors and impressive animations that bring the ancient gods and their world to life in a mesmerizing manner. The storyline is entertaining and educational, making "Christmas in Valhalla" a film that not only entertains but also enlightens. It's an ideal choice for family viewing during the holiday season.
