Garnet, where Ghouls Gone Wild! was filmed, was once a bustling mountain community in western Montana. It now a well-maintained ghost town that belongs to the state and is a popular tourist attraction.
The film was originally envisioned to star a different band, Volumen. When The International Playboys were later chosen, the decision was made by producers to follow up this movie with a sequel featuring both bands, but the project has yet to come to fruition.
José Diaz's character, Sheriff John T. Chance, is named after John Wayne's character in Rio Bravo (1959).
