Truly Fair and Balanced
lesfleapool15 May 2006
I studied the writings of Fareed Zakaria in a class I had on Southeast Asian Politics. When I saw in my TV Guide that he had a show I was dead-set on tuning in. In the half hour I saw, it proved to be the best news show on television today. Instead of misconstruing or interpreting statements from foreign leaders, Zakaria does what the Fox News crowd would find unthinkable: let them speak for themselves! The interviewees can be judged on their own merit (or condemned, in some respects) and finally have a chance to explain their own platforms. The most interesting pieces come from examining underreported NGOs or social movements, most recently Chinese punk bands (I never thought I would ever group those three words together). I give this show the highest rating possible due to its non-partisan nature (Zakaria is a Muslim who in favor of tracking down Al-Qaeda) and qualified host, one of the most trusted and brilliant minds in the field of international studies. Give Foreign Exchange a try, it is the epitome of "We Report, You Decide".
