It’s been almost six years since Adam Wingard (Pop Skull) completed work on his directorial debut, the Alabama-set survival horror piece Home Sick. Since then it’s played all over the place in varying degrees of completion before the final, definitive version was shown at last year’s Fantasia Film Festival. Finally on August 26th, 2008, we’ll be able to see if it was worth the wait when Synapse Films gets Home Sick on DVD.
Home Sick writer/producer E.L. Katz dropped us a line yesterday with word on what fans can expect from the long-gestating DVD which he just got his hands on a few days ago, ”There are three shorts on there that we did after the several-year Home Sick production recovery” he told us, "The Girlfriend" (the second short we did), is practically a half hour long and one of our first experiments doing something straight-forward and less silly and goretastic.
