This is the first movie for Curtis Taylor, and while it tends to show at times, the story is GREAT. The progression and deepening of the characters throughout the film captivates the audience and inspires thought. A key turning point in the film is a scene between Dave and a homeless man - a man we see only for a few minutes, yet sets the tone for the rest of the movie. Prior to the scene with the homeless man, Dave has an intense encounter with Officer Murray played by Dutcher. Throughout their time together Dave begins to see his - and his friend's - life in a completely different light, and begins to understand the meaning of "Grace".

American Grace will be showing at the Scera LDS Film festival in Provo, UT Jan. 19, 2006.
