There’s nothing quite like “Live Pd,” the hit A&E series that follows cops and sheriffs — live, in real time, as they patrol various cities and counties across the country. The series began as an eight-episode experiment, for two hours a week, back in October 2016. But as it turned into a sensation, A&E kept expanding the show’s footprint.
Now, “Live Pd” airs twice a week, on Friday and Saturday nights, for three hours both evenings (from 9 p.m. to midnight). And other than a brief five-week hiatus in September, it’s been on the air for most of the year.
“It is by far the most frustrating, challenging, and gratifying program that I have ever been involved with,” said executive producer Dan Cesareo, whose Big Fish Entertainment is behind the series. “No two nights are the same. You could have a great show one night, where we...

YouTube comedy duo Dan Howell and Phil Lester might be dropping some physical Truth Bombs soon. Don’t worry, we’re not talking about bombs—the pair may be set to release a party game called Dan and Phil’s Truth Bombs.
Though the YouTube comedians have yet to announce the release of any such game, fans have been gathering evidence of its existence, according to a report by We the Unicorns. One of the publication’s readers sent over a picture of the game they’d found in a Waterstones, a UK book and gifts store.
Another fan posted a photo of the “explosively honest party game” on Tumblr. It appears to be the same photo We the Unicorns received, and it’s accompanied by the caption:
“Apparently what happened is that a store that had received the games early put them on display by mistake and before they could pull them,...

It may not be a name, nor face, that is instantly recognisable to the casual filmgoer, but the music scored by Alan Menken most certainly will be, for the genius composer is behind songs that have provided a soundtrack to different generations, penning the likes of A Whole New World and Under the Sea.
He also scored the original 1991 Beauty and the Beast animation – and he’s back, collaborating with director Bill Condon on this live-action remake, and he discusses the challenges in creating new songs for this world and these characters, and his joy on returning to this particular universe. He also tells us about writing for non-professional singers and whether or not he can pick a favourite track from his quite breathtaking back catalogue.

Lois & Clark: The New Adventures Of Superman was silly, joyful fun. We take a fond look back at the 1990s series...
A flash of red cape, the S sitting proudly on the chest, the warrior of Truth, Justice and the American Way, Superman has always been the most recognisable and iconic of all the superheroes. After many changes on-screen over the years from the All-American hero in the 1978 movie to the recent darker and moodier version, you'd be hard pressed to go anywhere on the planet and find somebody who had never heard of the Man of Steel.

Supergirl‘s got the week off from protecting National City and its denizens, but to tide you over until the CBS drama’s return, we’ve got a fresh batch of photos from its Season 1 finale.
There’s a whole lot to unpack from the April 18 snapshots, most notably the return of Alex and Hank from their fugitive lifestyle. Onetime Supergirl Helen Slater is also back as Kara’s adoptive mom, Eliza (though there’s currently no sign of Dean Cain as her maybe-alive dad, Jeremiah).

Kesha's legal battle with Dr. Luke appears to be far from over. A source close to the situation tells People the pop star's team is in talks to retain Dan Petrocelli as co-counsel for her current attorney, Mark Geragos. In 2014, Kesha sued her longtime producer, Dr. Luke, alleging he drugged and raped her and emotionally and verbally abused her for a decade. (Luke has aggressively denied the accusations - "I didn't rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her," he tweeted in February - and is countersuing for breach of contract and defamation.) Supergirl's Manhunter episode explores Hank Henshaw's origin story without shying away from the show's political agenda...
This review contains spoilers
1.17: Manhunter
If there's anything that Supergirl has focused on more than depicting women's place in the world, it's the outsider story. More specifically, the struggle of the immigrant and the attitudes they tend to attract. It's a bold move for a new show in 2016, and Manhunter is the most frank discussion of it so far.
The episode clearly refers to J'onn and his position at the Deo now that his real identity has been revealed, but we also get another glimpse into what Kara's early experiences on Earth were. When we met her at the beginning of the season, she was unwilling to help for narrative reasons, but it never made total sense from a character perspective. Why would someone so good-natured and brave take...

Earlier in February, Michelle Wilkins sat in court reliving the horror of March 18, 2015 - the day she was brutally attacked and her 7-month-old fetus was cut from her womb. She was in stunned disbelief listening to all of the evidence, particularly an interview in which her attacker confessed to police. It was at that point, he says, where her disbelief sharpened into anger - she calls it the moment "where anger woke up." "I don't mean anger like blinding or all consuming because I still maintain a perspective of her humanity, my humanity, and how we are connected by that,...

[[tmz:video id="0_4y0l8mac"]] Brian Williams is back on track to be a trusted newsman, according to his friend and ex-cbs anchor Dan Rather. Dan was leaving Craig's Tuesday night ... just a few hours after Williams returned to TV, reporting on the Pope for MSNBC. Rather thinks Williams has turned the page, and America's ready to forgive because everyone makes mistakes. On the morning of September 9, 2004, veteran CBS News producer Mary Mapes (Cate Blanchett) believed she had every reason to feel proud of a broadcast journalism job well done.

Last year Marvel made big news with the Black Avengers book they are doing or have done or will be doing.
Truth is I don’t know if it’s been done or not because these days I rarely read comics that get massive press. Unless I know the creator I’d rather pass on hype – especially if that hype has to with new black characters.
I’m sick to death of some making a big deal out of the black character they are bringing to comics.
Why?
Two reasons. The first is because two seconds (if that long) after the story appears in the press or the book goes on sale I’m asked to comment.
“DC is doing a book where two black people are in a street scene. What are your thoughts?”
“Well I think that anytime a major publisher puts two black people in a scene...

We are hours away from the arrival of the third episode of Lost’s last season, a Kate-centric affair entitled “What Kate Does.” That’s right, you heard me: third episode. And it feels like the season only began last week. Wait...what?! My mind is still reeling -- in a good way -- from what we got out of "La X." The premiere inspired a wide range of reactions — mostly positive,...
