Which One Is It?
boblipton24 March 2019
Buster Brown plays a practical joke on his mother, persuading her to to put her hands into a pan of lobsters, then puts a bunch of them in his father's bed.

The Internet Movie Database has two movies of the same title, each directed by Edwin S. Porter and each coming out in 1903. One has a release month of November. The other in December. The movie by the title on the Library of Congress' National Screening Room site is listed with a release month of October. So, which is it?

Buster Brown was a comic strip character created in 1902 by Richard F. Outcault. A scamp who got into problems, he was adopted as a mascot by the Brown Shoe Company in 1904; sixty years later, he was still used for their children's shoe store, along with his his dog, Tige. Movie stardom was inevitable.
