A spectacular program with few bumps

While the twists and turns of the plots are to be expected, the only time the amazing-factor of the show takes a timeout is when the pace slows to advertise the author who is hosting the episode. But in spite this, it's a compelling show that easily holds its own both in entertainment value and in educational value; even while facing fierce competition from similar shows like "Body of Evidence," "Power, Privilege and Justice," "The Investigators," and "Forensic Files." I could almost effortlessly describe it as the second-best show on truTV.

Watch it some time. Unless you're a hard-nosed spam hater, or are simply too squeamish around re-enactments of violent crime, (or a killer likely to feature on the program yourself); you won't be significantly disappointed, if at all.

I respect that James Elroy has written LA Confidential, which as a movie, was a big success. But I didn't know anything else about him until today. What did I learn? He's kind of a psychopath with Absolutely Bizarre sexual feelings for his mother. He also went down a path of stalking and breaking into women's houses. That often turns into sexual deviance, and considering HOW MANY TIMES he talked about his LUST and SEXUAL ATTRACTION and downright HATE for her all through his life starting as a young boy, there's no question this guy is a deviant by the time this was made. I've never been so disgusted in my life. It's not normal to lust after your mother all your life. And to hate her and be glad she's dead at 10 yrs old. This put me in such a bad mood and was so creepy, I'm curious why this was added to the show. It is rotten weird and hateful story about a damn pervert deviant son.
