The film was shot over 2 years, with a 13 month gap in between.
Rufus Graham came in at the last minute of the second year of filming; the original actor who played Clive delayed filming, then finally dropped out before the second year of filming began.
The roof of the ceiling of the lounge fell in during filming; builders can be heard in the background of some of the scenes in the lounge.
The house in the film is made up of three houses that were cut together seamlessly. The lounge, bedroom, kitchen and garden are one house; belonging to the Director's grandparents. The second lounge is another house, belonging to an actor. The stairs and computer room are a third, belonging to one of the producers.
The original cut of the film was 2.5 hours long. It was cut down to 2 hours, then 85 minutes. The 2.5 hour version was lost, but the 2 hour version was restored for the DVD.
