It took French actor Patrick Chesnais his last role to understand the true meaning of life.
FilmCriticLalitRao18 October 2013
Patrick Chesnais is an important personality of French cinema. He has established himself in the field of films as actor, dialog writer, director and script writer.Among his important work, one can cite films namely "La Provinciale" (directed by Claude Goretta),"La Lectrice" (directed by Michel Deville) and "Je Ne Suis Pas Là pour être aimé" (directed by Stéphane Brizé).He has a very special role in "My lost role".As an actor he shows viewers how important is human life when one gets to learn about other people and tragedies in their lives. As the entire short film is shot in an hotel,it allows Patrick Chesnais to display brief glimpses of his stardom. However, things never get out of control and everybody is treated with dignity. The film takes a serious turn when actor Patrick Chesnais decides to take a nasty turn in his life.He is aided in this frivolous pursuit by some of the most recognizable names of french culture namely news readers Patrick Poivre d'Arvor,David Pujadas, actors Jean Claude Brialy and Nicole Garcia. Everything is shown to be well. However,a sad news on TV changes how life is viewed by Patrick Chesnais.Lastly, this is a funny film which needs to be watched with friends to make everybody realize the true meaning of life.
