- Jeff goes to capture a thief sneaking back via a remote corner of the Islands. PI Jeff poses as a wandering gigolo, signing on as a guitar-strumming lounge act to attract lonely women to a struggling resort. Cricket Blake chirps along with him, but the new competition brings out the worst in a scheming philanderer and a torch-bearing local police chief.—David Stevens
- Having just arrived back to the office after a Palm Springs getaway, Jeff finds that he is immediately whisked off on another trip, a work trip this time, by his old friend Tracy Steele and his associate Cricket Blake. They have an undercover job for him to handle on his own on Oahu in everyone in their firm being too recognizable to be able to do the job. He is to track down a robber name Nick Sudano, the most likely place he is to turn up being at his brother Ed Sudano's hotel in the remotest settlement on the island, next to a pineapple plantation. Ed is not suspected of doing wrong in and of himself. While Jeff discovers Nick's whereabouts, he inadvertently gets caught up in another robbery plot which includes a murder as part of the plan. The players in the plot include a plantation office worker who wants more out of life than can be had in an office job, an unfulfilled wife who believed marriage would be the answer to her loneliness, a local who dreams of getting away in any way she can, and a police chief who has eyes for only one.—Huggo
