Zsa Zsa Gabor on Sunset Boulevard
bkoganbing20 February 2018
I think the story of this 77 Sunset Strip hit a little too close to home for Zsa Zsa Gabor. Otherwise Warner Brothers would have hired the real deal instead of Kathleen Crowley.

But Crowley is really delightful with her pluperfect imitation of Zsa Zsa. A bit is also borrowed from Sunset Boulevard with Oscar Beregi former director now serving as her butler. But he's got a script for an epic to star madame when they get the financing straight.

The twist is that's Beregi's dream not her's. She's content to be a professional celebrity like Zsa Zsa. But the firm of Bailey&Spencer get involved when some of her expensive jewelry and some indiscreet letters she's kept in wall safe are burgled. The letters, some of them turned over to gossip columnist Lee Patrick.

Three guys who are most interested are former lovers, Ty Hardin, John Gabriel, and Richard Rust.

Roger Smith does solve it all in the end as you knew he would. But Crowley is so good as Zsa Zsa this should be seen for her.

Come Home, Little Eva
darbski10 May 2017
Warning: Spoilers
**SPOILERS** Most assuredly. This is a story about a husband who loves his wife, has a screenplay that isn't selling, she loves the rich life while he toils unpraised and unsung. Sound familiar? Oh, yeah, there's just a couple of small details; to wit: she's a money grubbing (four letter word beginning with s, ending with t) who is cheating on him so she can get the foundation laid for blackmail. Also, she wants to have her expensive jewelry stolen so she can get the insurance dough (and then get back the gems). She wants to involve Spencer in the turmoil, he's resistant, but.....

The girl (Kathleen Crowley) is beautiful. she looks and sounds a lot like Eva Gabor (she's the sister who's likable, and a pretty good actress). The guys she is setting up for her coercion get wind, get together, and the crap hits the fan.

Now, I swear to the Lord above, I thought it actually was Eva; I mean it, she was that good, and I like Eva. she's the best reason for watching this episode. The other "tough guys" are exposed eventually by Spencer, and he solves the problem. They are a truly motley crew. Good looking male furniture. In the end, she's trying to coax Kookie (in the show, it's pronounced "cookie" by the way) so, her Huz still has a problem.Good acting, pretty fair plot, watch it if you can.

Suzanne(Frenchy) is the best.

The gal playing Zsa Zsa is perfect. I laughed out loud when Suzanne lifted Roscoe's chin off the ground. It looked to be her ad lib. Love this show. Thanks to MeTV, I'm watching these my first time, I'm 60. I had only heard of this show and how cool it was. I was just 1 when it began. This episode was very entertaining. Hope MeTV keeps this show around for a couple years.
