Swimming with sharks
searchanddestroy-120 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
A beautiful lady is approached by our heroes because her wealthy husband disappeared during a scuba diving session. Was he killed by a shark? There also seems to be an insurance swindle under this mystery...The missing husband - or wife - is a topic many times spoken about in suspense movies. But this one is rater good, although it gives nothing exceptional. The detective is lead to a small village of Mexico - not city, and finally finds out what was going out. The husband is very alive and doesn't want to return to his wife and wants the private eye to leave him alone. But our lead have a report to make to the insurance company. Because, as I have already said, there is a big money swindle under this case...

Yes, a good tale, noir atmosphere provided with, and don't find for any humour or light touch, such as we were used to in this show.

Did Jaws get the man?

I am truly surprised that no one thought to look for the underwater camera that the missing person had on his person at the time of his disappearance while scuba diving. If the police or the Coast Guard thought to look then there might not be an episode for 77 Sunset Strip.

That's the case Roger Smith is assigned from an insurance company which is rather reluctant to pay out the policy to widow Whitney Blake. The story is that the deceased became a shark's lunch and there's footage showing a shark on the premises. But the footage raises more questions than answers.

Kookie lovers everywhere got a special treat in seeing a shirtless Edd Byrnes doing some scuba diving retreating the evidence that should have been found in the first place.

Nicely done story.

Jeff sings

I wish there was an alert system to let us know Roger Smith was going to be playing(?) guitar and singing. A filler when it occurs and awful to behold.
