A Cry for Help

This is a very rare thing indeed - a good episode of '7th Heaven' from its seventh series. I can think of only one other that was as good as this, and that was the first of the series - a very long time ago.

Becuase while we still have the usual Lucy paranoia rubbish (Roxanne's comment about her needing therapy felt very apt) there is a decent storyline being told elsewhere involving Eric that is both thought provoking and heartfelt.

It's the sort of storyline that this show used to be able to produce on a regular/near every episode basis. Now the well is running dry, and the quality is much, much more mixed.

When it is good though this show can still deliver.

A troubled boy calls for advice to Eric and Usher at Eric's new job as a college radio talk show host. Things turn scary when he calls back and tells the two that he's going to kill himself. Eric and Usher go off to search for the young man before he hurts himself.

Lucy is blamed by Kevin when his attractive patrol partner, Roxanne tells him that she can't be his partner anymore. The reasons are because Lucy feels uncomfortable that her fiancé is working with her for hours in a car, alone.

Annie tries to hide her hurt feelings, but finally comes out and tries to convince Eric to come back to the ministry.
