Warning: Spoilers
This shows on IMDb as the final show of the series, though it is the first episode on the DVD set (from Australia; in the USA, you will need a region-free DVD player to watch). This is also the first episode I have seen of this series, which I intend to review in full.

Gene does a decent job in this outing. Catherine Schell looks great and is charming. Barry Morse is good at playing a vaguely befuddled controller agent. All that said, while this episode isn't terrible, it isn't very good, either. SPOILER ALERT: There's very little action. We never see Gene with a gun, and there are not even fisticuffs. It plays more like a Mission Impossible caper, but at just 25 minutes, there's no time for complexity. The focus of the episode is Gene being a really charming guy, attractive to women--like Roger Moore in The Saint. This outing is mildly enjoyable, but there's little or no excitement. A party scene, where Gene seems by far the oldest person there, dancing, with most in their 20's, is a little painful to watch, and captures the problem. I think Gene Barry was just a little old for the role. I say that as someone who liked Barry in The Name of the Game, 1968-71. Also, that brief 25-minute length is a big drawback for a show that is trying to build some excitement and drama. Of interest to The Champions fans, Stuart Damon is a driver and has exactly one line!
