Sir Bliant

William Russell has fun playing dual roles in this one. He is both Lancelot and Sir Bliant.

A truce between Sir Bliant and Sir Rolf has been broken by Bliant's three sons. They want to forcibly marry Rolf's daughters and kidnap them.

Rolf seeks Arthur's help. Lancelot obliges by impersonating Bliant with Merlin's help and challenging the three sons to teach them a lesson.

It was good to see Lancelot wrestling and his wig not falling off. Also he looks so much like Bliant that his sons did not notice. A daft story but enjoyable for the family audience.

The lowest point so far.

Despite there being a truce between The Earring Sir Bliant (who beard a remarkable resemblance to Sir Lancelot,) and Sir Rolf, the three sons of Sir Bliant, intent on starting something kidnap Rolf's three young daughters. Sir Lancelot steps in to help.

Here we go again, it's that old chestnut.

I knew it wouldn't be long before an episode popped up with someone playing a double role, and naturally it falls to William Russell, and he quite clearly enjoyed playing the part of Merlin's great granddaughter.

I did not enjoy this one at all, I thought the storyline was absolutely ridiculous, on the plus side, one of the sons was at least remarkably handsome, that helped.

That fight scene, I kept on waiting for a bit of the stage to drop off, or a bit of false beard, it wasn't hugely convincing I'm afraid to say.

Too slow, too clunky, 4/10.
