No Comment Period. Lois on the Ledge!
biorngm25 October 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Review – The Human Bomb Not a dull moment at the Daily Planet with Lois badgering Clark or Mr. White chewing out Olsen or some nut walks into Lois' office claiming he is a human bomb, cuffs her to him, and leads her out the window onto the ledge, looking down several stories. This story is not only believable, could happen in any city having tall enough buildings, but the actors were most acceptable and their roles well performed. Plenty of Superman action, catching robbers, rescuing Olsen from a deadly fall, hoaxes with the help of the Inspector resembling Clark. Bet-a-Million Butler pulled his last stunt for a while thinking he could occupy Superman's time for thirty minutes. Superman would be wise to Butler's stunt from the onset, and with the help of the police, he saved the day for our two reporters. Olsen didn't let us down with his actions not thinking through the situation, but a knee jerk reaction to save Lois. Clark's feigning the incident was a publicity stunt in order to handle everything with his other identity worked out as we saw Clark in the beginning and the close, leaving Superman to handle the work load. Worth watching to witness Olsen's behavior.

The Bad Guys on This Show Were So Dumb
Hitchcoc30 January 2015
"No comment until the time limit is up!" A man who will bet on anything bets with a friend a hundred thousand dollars that he can keep Superman at his beck and call for thirty minutes. He will have some cohorts commit a minor robbery while Superman stays away. He does this by strapping dynamite on his body and handcuffing himself to Lois Lane. He then takes her out on what appears to be about a tenth story ledge. In order for things to work, Superman must remain in a room nearby so the bettor knows he hasn't gone to break up the robbery. Now for the height of stupidity. Superman records his voice using the first line of this commentary. A police detective throws his coat over his back and sits in a chair. Whenever the bad guy asks Superman a question, they play that comment on a tape recorder. Meanwhile Lois is up there, helpless. Now, why wouldn't the guy insist that Superman simply sit at the window where he could see something other than his shadow. There is a funny scene where Jimmy Olsen says goodbye to his girlfriend before he goes out on the ledge to rescue Lois. The way this ends just seems lacking.

No comment until the time limit is up....

Warning: Spoilers
I can not tell you how much I loved this show as a kid Noel Neill would always be my favorite Lois Lane, but Phyllis Coates was always the most beautiful woman to play the roll. That includes present day versions of Superman.

This is actually a pretty weak episode in the series, of course all were unbelievable, but some just didn't even make any sense.

A silly guy just trying to win a bet would not go through all this trouble, but even from nearly 50 years later the taped message from Superman "No comment until the time limit is up" rings in my ears.

Butler was a real sap. Lois Lane always wore the tightest dresses possible, even for walking around on the side of High Rise.
