A woman learns from a P. I. that her new husband is suspected of killing his first two wives for insurance money to cover his gambling debts. However, he convincingly denies it. Who to trust? But she progressively leans towards believing the P. I after seeing her husband acting strangely, learning about his gambling problems and the insurance policy he will receive if she dies. All these things are set up well in a rather nifty and effective thriller. Needless to say, the twist is good, despite me guessing the outcome.
