Mike's prophetic words that Archie's chair "might even end up in a museum" came true in real life since both of the Bunker's chairs were eventually acquired by no less than the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.
This episode establishes that Archie's wing-back "hair-loom" chair has been in use for the past 28 years (since approximately 1948/49), although it is curiously MIA in the following season's flashback episode "Mike and Gloria Meet".
The name of the artist, Lichtenrauch, is actually a combination of parts of the surnames of two very famous and important artists of the 1960's: Roy Lichtenstein and Robert Rauschenberg.
Archie is offered $400 for his chair. This was in 1977. At the rate of inflation, as of 2022 that is the equivalent of $1931.
