- With the jail full of angry moonshiners, Otis serves his latest public intoxication sentence at the Taylor residence under the stern and watchful eye of Aunt Bee.
- With the jail full after the arrest of the four Gordon brothers for moonshining, Andy wonders what to do with Otis when he shows up after his weekly drunk. The Gordons are angry with Otis for having changed liquor suppliers, so leaving him with them is out of the question. Left with little choice, Andy takes Otis home with him to serve his sentence. Aunt Bee is a little disconcerted at first, but when Andy tells her that she's in charge of the prisoner, she takes to making him do chores around the house, like washing floors and windows, cutting the grass and chopping wood. Otis takes to calling her the Warden and has worked so hard that he swears off liquor.—garykmcd
- Andy brings in The Gordon Brothers, a quartet of moonshiners that he and Barney have been looking for (injuring his hand in the process). While trying to get them situated in the jail, Otis stumbles in drunk. Immediately the Gordon boys think he was the stool pigeon who turned them in. Realizing that there isn't enough space for all five prisoners, Andy decides to take Otis to his house so that he can serve his time there. This does not sit well with Aunt Bee, but Andy encourages her to treat him just the same as he would at the jail. Offended that Otis wants to simply lie around the house, she decides to treat him like a true prisoner and keeps him busy doing housework. Exhausted and with a hangover, Otis decides to break out, but all of his escape plans are overturned by Aunt Bee, who always seems to be standing by with more chores whenever he tries to leave. Andy comes home and finds that she has put Otis on a track to rehabilitation - one more drunken episode and he has to come back. Meanwhile, Barney tries rehabilitating the Gordon brothers by giving them leather craft and metal craft sets to "bend their twigs" in the right direction. Unfortunately it works too well and they escape. When Andy catches them again, he drops them right into the waiting hands of Aunt Bee, the Warden.—J. Roberts <armchairoscars@hotmail.com>
- The jail is full so Otis has to serve his time at Andy's house, where Aunt Bee serves as warden.
