- Tom Conrad - Newspaper Publisher: Strangers, especially pretty ones, are always news in Diablo. I wonder if you will answer a few questions.
- Lil Benton: What sort of questions?
- Tom Conrad - Newspaper Publisher: Oh, what you're doing in town?
- Con Morley: That doesn't take much figuring.
- Deputy Sheriff Lofty Craig: Hey, watch how you talk to a lady, Mister.
- Con Morley: I normally do, Deputy. But if that one's a lady, I'll eat my boots.
- Annie Oakley: [a fight ensues with Con landing the first fist on Lofty's chin. However the Deputy gets the better of him] After you've finished your lunch, you can apologise to the lady.
- [She pulls his boots off and puts them to his mouth]
- Annie Oakley: What were you carrying, Pete, that those rogues were after?
- Pete - Stagecoach Driver: Beats me. I'm carrying nothing more valuable than a chuck bag of vittles.
- Annie Oakley: What about your passenger?
- Pete - Stagecoach Driver: I reckon you better ask her, Miss Annie. She's acting awful skittish about something. 'Cos I was never one to figure out females except them with four legs and a whinny.
- Lil Benton: Driver, can't we go any faster?
- Pete - Stagecoach Driver: Faster, she says, maybe one day they'll invent a flying machine. She won't have to put up with this slow poke kind of travel.
- Lil Benton: Driver, PLEASE!
- Pete - Stagecoach Driver: Yes, Ma'am... YES,MA'AM!
- Brady: That's Lil all right.
- Con Morley: Looks like that loud-mouthed cowboy back in town knew what he was talking about.
- Brady: Thought Lil had more brains than to pull a stunt like this.
- Con Morley: Brady, let this be a lesson to you.
- Brady: What do you mean?
- Con Morley: Never give a woman no credit for having brains.
- Annie Oakley: Maybe, if I had a talk with Mrs Roberts, I'd be able to...
- Tom Conrad - Newspaper Publisher: Would you quit reminding me that she's married.
- Deputy Sheriff Lofty Craig: How can we help her if we don't know what she's running from?
- Annie Oakley: Well, you'd think a good newspaperman would be able to find out all about her.
- Tom Conrad - Newspaper Publisher: That's right, Annie. But I'm afraid I'd have to be small enough to get through a keyhole to find out anything about the mystery woman.
