This episode has all the "villains" gathering to plot a screw-based hit job on the fast food things. It's worth it just to see all the idiotic foes all together and interacting. They usually only deal with the aqua teens so this was a nice chance to see how they all get along. Other than that it's a relatively very good episode. Features lots of mooninites throughout too.

Season 2: Yet more consistently funny and imaginative stuff
bob the moo19 February 2013
I was surprised recently to learn that this show was still going in its ninth season I think and had also undergone several name changes that suited it as a show (the most recent I think including the word "whatever" as it gave up on the title halfway through). This news did motivate me though to continue watching back through it as it was a show I had really only grabbed here and there while traveling in the US. Season 2 is a long season compared to later ones, but it is still remarkably consistent. There are a few episodes that don't manage to walk the line between being hilariously absurd and just being silly, but the majority of them do and there were only 2 or 3 episodes out of the entire season that I didn't care for.

Otherwise though the season is consistently funny. As many viewers know, it does help to be stoned while watching but I was stone cold sober and it still worked for me. Each episode opens with Dr Weird, with an experiment or loud declaration that is out of nowhere, has no context, makes no sense and is immediately cut off as the credit sequence comes flying in – oh, and it is invariably very funny. This is the best place for you to decide if the show is for you or not because the majority of the material is like this; it makes no sense, has no logic and no consequence but it is wonderfully absurd and full of imagination.

It is the characters that make it work, their personalities are held to through the season. Shake remains my favorite and his outrage is great with his statements and actions. Frylock gives him a straight man to work off while Meatwad is the third man in the "and I look down on him" chain of comedy. The various supporting characters are mostly good; this season has less Mooninites than I would like but the other aliens are funny and many of the one-off characters are solid. Carl I can take or leave but mostly he works well.

It is an acquired taste perhaps but I find it very funny and this season is very consistent in how absurd and imaginative it is.
