A 'friend' seeks revenge
Return of the Cybernauts
The brother of Dr. Armstrong resurrects the Cybernauts to murder Steed and Mrs Peel.
A fun sequel to The Cybernauts. The great Peter Cushing is excellent as the mad scientist. Good direction and a nice score from Laurie Johnson add to the atmosphere. Other than that, there's not much else of note.

A very good follow up episode.
The Cybernauts are back in business, and with Clement Armstrong dead, Steed and Mrs Peel must work out who's operating them.
I can imagine those that loved The Cybernauts first time round had chills when they learned of their return, it wasn't the case on the show generally to bring villains back.
I enjoyed it, not quite as good as the original, but a very worthy follow up nonetheless, some great action scenes, great to hear that whooshing noise again.
What I liked about this one on particular, it wasn't the usual plot of world domination or secrets, events here were purely done our of revenge.
When you look at this wonderful cast, Fulton McKay, Frederick Jaeger, and of course there's the incredible Peter Cushing, if I'm honest though, I thought all were overshadowed by the quite wonderful Aimi MacDonald, her dizzy secretary ranks as one of the best characters I've seen on the show to date, that scene where she flirted with the Cybernaut, that was quite something.
Enjoyed that, 8/10.

HIGHER THAN THE ORIGINAL
This return of the killer robots is superior to the original. This time the villain is Peter Cushing, who plays the brother of the late Dr. Armstrong, creator of the Cybernauts. During the development, he kidnaps three experts in different specialties, so that together they can develop a device that will turn Emma and Steed into human robots that he will handle as he pleases. The episode surpasses its predecessor in its dynamics and has the advantage that at this stage of the series the action scenes were better elaborated than in the black and white era. Entertainment from start to finish.

Return of the Cybernauts
With a cast that includes Fulton Mackay, Frederick Jaeger, Peter Cushing. I thought Aimi MacDonald stole the episode as the bubble headed secretary Rosie.
Cushing plays suave and sophisticated Paul Beresford, the brother of the mad scientist who invented the cybernauts.
Beresford wants revenge for the death of his brother. He has been playing a cat and mouse game with Steed and Mrs Peel that includes some flirting with Emma that she appreciates.
At the same time his cybernaut has been abducting the premier scientists in their fields. They are forced to develop weapons to make Steed and Mrs Peel suffer.
Cushing enjoys playing a suave madman, he is almost like the archetypal 1960s Bond villain.
The cybernaut with his silver face was frightening but it is certainly silly that he would somehow be able to walk through London with a man over his shoulder and remain undetected.
The cybernaut does lend the series an element of a futuristic science fiction concept to add to the fantasy action.

The Cybernauts are back.
Clement Armstrong's brother resurrects the Cybernauts to achieve world domination and get revenge on Steed and Mrs. Peel. Nothing original here, but a decent fast paced plot nonetheless. Peter Cushing guest stars as Beresford.
Good sequel
The inimitable Peter Cushing guest stars as the brother of the man who created the cybernauts in a season 4 episode. He's out for revenge against Steed and Peel. I never knew this episode existed back in the day (I had only seen the original). It's a pretty good episode, although it lacks the creepiness of the original. Perhaps the fact that it's in color has something to do with it. Cushing is both suitably villainous and charming, especially towards Mrs Peel. The actress who plays the secretary of an abducted scientist is a hoot. As usual, the series is an enjoyable time capsule of 60s British culture.
