- Ambassador Londo Mollari: Do you really want to know what I want? Do you really want to know the truth? I want my people to reclaim their rightful place in the galaxy. I want to see the Centauri stretch forth their hand again and command the stars. I want a rebirth of glory, a renaissance of power! I want to stop running through my life like a man late for an appointment, afraid to look back or look forward. I want us to be what we used to be! I want... I want it all back the way it was. Does that answer your question?
- [Londo leaves]
- Mr. Morden: Yes. Yes, it does.
- Lord Kiro: [dismissing his aunt's vision of B5's destruction] She's been wrong before. On my first birthday, she said that someday I would be killed by - "shadows."
- Lt. Cmdr. Susan Ivanova: I've always had a hard time getting up when it's dark outside.
- Cmdr. Jeffrey Sinclair: But in space, it's always dark.
- Lt. Cmdr. Susan Ivanova: [morosely] I know. I know.
- Lt. Cmdr. Susan Ivanova: Why does my mouth always taste like old carpet in the morning?
- Computer: Unknown. Checking medical logs.
- [first lines]
- Computer: Good morning. The time is 04:30 Earth Standard, Wednesday, August 3, 2258. Personal log shows no outstanding appointments. Shall I download station logs for past six hours?
- Lt. Cmdr. Susan Ivanova: [sighs] Sure. Grab it, store it, shove it.
- [last lines]
- [Lady Ladira shows Sinclair her vision of the destruction of B5]
- Cmdr. Jeffrey Sinclair: This - Is it a vision of what will be or what might be?
- Lady Ladira: The future is always changing. We create the future with our words, our deeds, and with our beliefs. This is a possible future, commander. And it is my hope that you may yet avoid it.
- Morden: What do you want?
- G'Kar: This is pointless. What I want is for you to go away and leave me in peace.
- Morden: As you say.
- [He starts to leave]
- G'Kar: Wait. What do I want? The Centauri stripped my world. I want justice.
- Morden: But what do you want?
- G'Kar: To suck the marrow from their bones. Grind their skulls to powder.
- Morden: What do you want?
- G'Kar: To tear down their cities, blacken their sky, sow their ground with salt. To completely, utterly erase them.
- Morden: And then what?
- [There is a long pause. It is clear G'Kar has never thought about this. He chuckles slightly]
- G'Kar: I don't know. As long as my homeworld's safety is guaranteed, I don't know that it matters.
- Morden: [Disappointed] I see. Well, thank you very much for your time, Ambassador. Good day.
- [He leaves]
