Paul Dooley still hasn't re-paid the £20,000 he owes Liam and Donal and they have let him know in no uncertain terms that he will be 'sleeping with the fishes' if he doesn't come through soon. He tries to get a loan from the bank but is already stretched thin having purchased the house that Father Sheahan occupies from Brian Quigley's estate. His wife Oona doesn't appreciate Donal and Liam's attitude and soon realizes that there is something going on with the boys. She's also decided the time has come to change the name of the pub, but meets with less enthusiasm that she had hoped for. Avril Burke is sent for a loop when she sees that her ex-husband is staying at the pub with an attractive woman. Father Sheahan can see that she's in crisis but she refuses his help, saying he can'f possibly understand what she is going through, She learns otherwise.
