The fellow Banacek meets on the back lot of "Globe Studios" (aka, Universal Studios), who says he was the head wrangler when they filmed westerns, is Terry Wilson of Wagon Train fame (1957-65). His diatribe of doctor and cop shows replacing westerns is an inside jab at Robert Fuller (his Wagon Train co-star), who was at the time filming Emergency! (a doctor show) there on the Universal Lot.
Final role for Willard Sage who passed away shortly afterwards.
Mandy (Pamela Hensley) asks Banacek for an "Acapulco Bush." There actually IS such a drink, made with Crème de Menthe, Tequila and Triple Sec; however, Mandy omits the Triple Sec from her description.
Pamela Hensley and Tim O'Connor would later go on to star together in Buck Roger's in the 25th Century.
Cut to a sky view of "Globe Studios." Banacek approaches two horses and a horse wrangler up against a wooden shack on the back lot. The sky view is a rare shot of Universal Studios. The 1973 Episode (not 1974 as listed here) came out the same time Universal Studios Tour opened up: a) Parting the the Red Sea, and b) the Burning Mansion.
