The story begins with the assassination of a mobster, in the street, shot by a sniper from a long distance. The man is arrested a short time later, because there were some witnesses...But the man says he has an alibi, he was with his girl friend, a girl named Terry Lake.
So, from now on, everything will depend of the girl's testimony, for or against the killer. Margot Kidder plays the girl in question. And, as you may guess, Baretta will have a rather sweet task to protect her all long the story. Not bad, but nothing exceptional either, with expected results. Directed by Russ Mayberry, who made many McCloud episodes.
I highly preferred the previous episode, which was not in the line of the others.
